JACK – Fostered in Essex, UK

Handsome Jack is a 3 year old mixed breed boy originally from Romania. He weighs just over 13kg and is neutered.  

Jack loves people he knows. He can be wary of some strangers, but soon relaxes once he realises they are kind. He is mostly walked on lead and is very good when meeting other dogs, though he will bark if a larger dog comes charging over. He will pull if he gets an exciting scent. Off lead he generally has good recall, and he loves running around playing chase with his foster bro Marley. In the home Jack likes to play with Marley, but he is also happy in his own space and can be left for a couple of hours. We feel Jack would benefit from living with one or two friendly dogs of a similar size, though he could be an only dog.  

Jack would benefit from adopters who will give him plenty of exercise and introduce him to new experiences. He responds well to training and positive reinforcement. Since he has been in foster Jack has grown in confidence and is enjoying new experiences. Because he can be anxious in certain situations it would be important for Jack to meet any resident dog(s) prior to adoption.
