What You Will Be Doing
In order to successfully match our rescues with their furever homes, we run virtual homechecks where we assess the suitability of the home where the stray will live, as well as the suitability of the adopter(s) to welcome a rescue into their lives.
As part of this process, a team of two volunteers conducts the virtual homecheck – one volunteer asks the questions off our homecheck form, while another takes notes which will be kept on record. It is entirely your choice which role you prefer to take during the checks – we appreciate that not everyone is comfortable speaking to someone they have never met, and equally, we acknowledge that this is a great opportunity oto practive your communication skills.
A homecheck for a cat takes on average 30 minutes and a homecheck for a dog takes on average an hour.
