Willow is a small female Patterdale Terrier bred in the UK. She is approaching a year old, and has already moved around a little, but despite this she seems very adaptable. She is currently in foster on the Hampshire / Surrey border, happily living with other dogs. Infact she met up with another Stray2me UK rescue at the weekend and they had a great time. She will chase cats so would be better off rehomed where there are no small furries. Genetically, this breed tend to have prey drive, which can heighten as they mature. There are chickens in a pen at her foster home and she is very interested in them, but can be called away, so not obsessed.
Willow is a fun loving, affectionate dog. She might not cope with being left alone, especially if she’s an only pet. So someone home a lot is preferred, and an active lifestyle. These terriers are small in size, but they are not lap dogs, and need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.
She hasn’t had much contact with children so far, but she is a very good natured dog who walks well on the lead and has shown no reactivity.
Any potential adopter needs TERRIER EXPERIENCE and a secure garden.
Willow isn’t yet ready to be spayed, and we will ask that this is done in the next couple of months. Proof of spay will be requested.
