Lora grew up with her sister Orea in the Danube River delta area of Romania. A fisherman called Viorel had been keeping an eye on them since they were puppies, feeding them whenever he could. When he discovered Ionela and Carmen’s shelter, he arranged to bring her, rescuing her from the island where she was essentially marooned with other dogs. He took her in his boat and drove her to the shelter. She is super-sweet and friendly, and is used to being around dogs and cats.
