For the first few days in foster, Alma was slightly overwhelmed, but she has really started to come out of her shell. Once she trusts you, it really hasn’t taken more than a few days, she’s a bundle of fun. She loves to try and make you play, and she enjoys a good fuss. Currently in foster with a dog slightly bigger than her, she is happy to chill in the garden, or follow foster sister Kali around for company. She has also lived happily with cats and tried to make the more friendly one play with her.
Alma was found with a prolapse, a broken tail, and a broken leg. Alma’s front leg and tail had to be amputated during surgery. Since being in the UK she has learned to enjoy walks, although she prefers quieter, more rural areas. Ideally we would like Alma to live with another dog and in a quieter environment.
This tripaw girl is understandably nervous but has shown no signs of aggression. Alma is around Jack Russel size, maybe slightly bigger!
We know with love and training she will be a wonderful companion.
