NELLIE (rrc)

Nellie came into the shelter after a local man asked for help with Pearl and her kittens, saying his child was allergic. Through no fault of her own, Nellie suddenly found herself needing a new start.

She is friendly and playful with other cats and would ideally like a home with a resident feline friend to keep her company. She can be slightly hesitant with strangers at first, but she is happy to be picked up and handled once she feels comfortable. Nellie would benefit from a home where someone is around a good amount of the time to help her continue building confidence.

She can live with older children who understand how to behave gently and respectfully around cats (and dogs). Nellie is looking for an indoor-only home, though access to a catio or secure, cat-proof garden would be a wonderful bonus. She has been spayed and is ready to find a loving home where this slightly shy but sweet girl can truly settle and thrive.
